Photographs of the Dement family, early settlers of Myrtle Point, Or., taken 1854-circa 1975. Includes portraits of Samuel Maxwell Dement and his sons, Washington Clay Dement, Maxwell Harold Dement, and William Taylor Dement; William's wife, Nellie Figg Dement, daughter Alice Louisa Dement, and son Wallace Benjamin Dement; and members of the Ray Dement family. Also includes photographs of Samuel Maxwell Dement's farm and residence in Myrtle Point; class pictures of the Coos County School District 2 in 1907; Dement Creek Ranch; Wallace Benjamin Dement's professional life as an attorney; and the first Coos and Curry County Fair in 1912.
